Munchi ("Munchi," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the Munchi mobile application, our website, waitlist, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By using Munchi, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We may collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: such as your name, email address, login method, display name, and account identifiers when you create or use an account.
• Profile and goal information: such as age, height, weight, activity level, dietary goals, onboarding responses, and similar health or wellness profile data you choose to provide.
• Food and nutrition data: such as meal logs, food photos, typed meal descriptions, meal notes, calorie and macro estimates, water tracking, weight logs, and progress history.
• Optional Apple Health data: if you choose to connect Apple Health, Munchi may read step count, active energy burned, and workout data, and may write meals, calories, macros, water, weight, and fiber data to Apple Health.
• Subscription and transaction information: such as entitlement status, offer selection, purchase status, and limited transaction metadata needed to manage subscriptions and restore purchases. We do not receive your full payment card number.
• Usage and device information: such as device type, operating system, app version, IP address, request IDs, feature usage, rate-limit information, and similar log or diagnostics data. On supported platforms, we may also collect product analytics events.
• Website and waitlist information: such as your email address, anti-abuse form data, approximate country information derived from request headers, and rate-limiting data when you join the waitlist or contact us.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Authenticate accounts and manage subscriptions
• Analyze meals, estimate nutrition, and personalize your experience
• Track progress toward your goals
• Support optional Apple Health integrations you enable
• Send service-related notifications and support communications
• Improve app performance, troubleshoot issues, and prevent fraud or abuse
• Operate the website, manage the waitlist, and communicate about launch or updates
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

Munchi uses artificial intelligence to support features such as meal photo analysis, text-based food analysis, nutrition estimation, and related insights. Information you submit for these features, including food photos and food descriptions, may be processed by third-party service providers that help us operate the Service.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following situations:

• Service providers: with trusted providers that help us operate the Service, such as cloud hosting, authentication, storage, subscriptions, analytics, email delivery, and AI processing.
• With your direction: when you choose to use third-party sign-in, Apple Health integrations, or app store purchase flows.
• Legal and safety reasons: when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect our users, rights, property, or the Service.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business.
• Apple refund processing: when you request a refund through Apple, we may share limited consumption data with Apple to help them evaluate the request. This may include feature usage such as the number of snaps taken, account age, subscription history, and similar usage signals. Apple uses this data to determine refund eligibility.

We share information only with parties we reasonably believe are required to protect it in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Health and fitness data is sensitive. If you connect Apple Health or provide health-related information in Munchi, we use that data only to provide the health and fitness features of the Service. We do not use health or fitness data for targeted advertising, data brokerage, or cross-app tracking.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including safeguards for data in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You may have the ability to:

• Access or update certain account and profile information
• Export certain data available through in-app tools
• Delete your account from the app settings
• Withdraw app permissions such as camera, photos, notifications, and Apple Health access in your device settings
• Unsubscribe from waitlist or marketing communications where available

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements.

If you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify core account data and app data associated with that account, subject to limited retention where reasonably necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or transaction-integrity purposes. Third-party providers such as app stores or subscription platforms may retain separate records under their own policies.

Munchi is not intended for children under 14 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If you believe a child under 14 has provided information to us, please contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

Your information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have different data protection laws. Where required, we take reasonable steps designed to protect your information when it is processed internationally.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you by posting the updated policy, updating the date above, through the app, or by email where appropriate. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
